Welfare Officers
Sussex LGBTQ+ has two Welfare Officers that are responsible for the Welfare of the Society, both mentally and physically. They are always available via the Welfare Email address and hold weekly drop-in sessions every Friday from 3pm-4pm in the Student Life Centre, Bramber House. The Officers will also attend most Society organised events, so there is an opportunity to talk to them in person.
Any issue discussed with the Welfare Officers will remain confidential, unless you give consent or they feel you are at risk. If they feel you are at risk they will inform the Chair and we will see what needs to be done.
The Welfare Officers run a Tumblr blog, that anyone is free to follow or message anonymously with any issues. They also Run a Welfare Facebook Page.
